Recert done until 2013, time to take a pause

So much to do, so little time. It’s been tiring lately, work and family have led me to decide to stop the CCIEing for the time being. I just did the RS written a couple of weeks ago and got recerted until  2013, which is very cool, plus that gives me 18 months to sit the new RS blueprint that is about to be implemented in Oct 18th. Will focus on lighter certs until I can have some things straighten out, the next several months I’ll...

Feeling Lazy Lately

Been struggling with keeping up with studying and then writing here. It’s been very busy at work with a Contact Center we are deploying, takes a toll to stay late everyday to do stuff that you can’t while everyone is working. As I type this Khawar is still lecturing on the SL1 , it’s been an intense bunch of hours, 12 hrs a day for 7 days straight is certainly a challenge. But warriors don’t fear challenges, they charge ahead, proud and brave, all is left at the end of the course is that feeling of how little you know, how much you still have to practice if you want to be as good on a different track. In the following weeks I will be trying to relax, sit...

CCIE RS start….and pause

Back in 2007 I promised myself I would become CCIE RS by the end of the year and then go on with the Security track afterwards, so I started to read on for the written part while I finished my last few months of studies towards my Master’s degree. A month after graduation, I passed the RS written, it wasn’t very difficult to go through an exam after reading so much stuff. I started my lab preparation with the buying of material from...
