RS Bootcamp Done – Back on track!!

As I type this Khawar is still lecturing on the SL1 , it’s been an intense bunch of hours, 12 hrs a day for 7 days straight is certainly a challenge. But warriors don’t fear challenges, they charge ahead, proud and brave, all is left at the end of the course is that feeling of how little you know, how much you still have to practice if you want to be as good on a different track. In the following weeks I will be trying to relax, sit...

My fifth lab experience

Nobody in yet in the door so I waited in the car until I noticed someone else just arrived and the door was opened, then sat in the lobby to wait for the proctor, a few guys were there, 2 voice, bunch of RS and another guy packing his luggage entered last, he was taking Security too. Got in, explained the rules, I’m putting attention although I’ve already hear it 4 times before, the RS bunch got routed to their seats first to let...

Coming back home, eager for my results!!!

So I didn’t have to go anywhere but to walk through the parking lot to get some groceries and feed my apetite, that’s just great considering my...

Second Time Around, Good but not enough

This time I went to RTP instead, stood at the Wingate hotel near the testing site, for 2 days before the exam, doing one full scale lab a day to study, and not studying on the day before the exam. Again, I felt pretty good to ahead and pass, but this time I missed the mark by 3 tasks instead of the 2 from my first attempt. I finished the exam in 5.5 hrs, but had a lot of problems with the vpn section, main reason is I didn’t practice the...

First round didn’t go too well

Well, I got to SF early, to a friends house, spent a couple of days just trying to relax and doing not much but trying one lab a day, and while I felt I was 100% ready the day before the lab and even though I drove from SF to SJ to get to know where the lab was and everything, to try to wear down some of the fear, shake off the deamons, oh boy was I wrong. In my previous 2 failed RS attempts I didn’t go feeling as prepared as I did this...
